Fine Arts Teacher

JOB DESCRIPTION 

We are seeking a team-oriented fine arts electives educator to join our talented team. The ideal applicant has a strong fine arts background, experience in a varied number of art mediums and techniques, experience in graphic and production design, teaching experience at the secondary or college level, experience in and commitment to the effective use of technology in teaching and learning, and a philosophy that is aligned with the mission of our school. The RTHS Arts Department values inquiry-based learning and a collaborative work style. Applicants will need to apply our personalized learning model to help students become critical thinkers and independent learners. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach multiple sections of Art, along with other fine art-based elective courses such as Cosplay Creation, Senior Arts Lab, etc.
• Monitor 1 section of a study hall/seminar period.
• Provide daily academic and personal mentoring to an assigned group of students.
• Support students as they complete their personalized learning platform goals through the end of the school year.
• Finalize grades for the end of the school year with the help of administration and coaches.
• Participate actively in the life of the school community.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in a related content area. Seeking candidates with a strong background in artistic expression. NC teaching licensure is not required but is an asset.
