Job Summary
The Dean of Students plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment within the university. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing student affairs, enhancing student engagement, and ensuring the effective administration of student services. The Dean will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to support academic success and personal development while managing resources effectively.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee student services, including counseling, advising, and extracurricular activities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance student engagement and retention.
  • Supervise staff within the student affairs division, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Collaborate with academic departments on curriculum development to align student services with educational goals.
  • Administer budgets related to student affairs and ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Lead initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the student body.
  • Address student concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations to enhance students' educational experiences.
  • Engage in higher education teaching as needed, contributing to the academic mission of the university.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Education Administration or a related field; a Doctorate is preferred.
  • Proven experience in higher education administration or a similar role within a university setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting and resource management.
  • Excellent strategic planning abilities with a focus on enhancing student success.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development processes in higher education.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all students’ needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
