Special Education Teacher

Quest Academy is a small, established K-8 Charter School in North Raleigh. We continue to be one of the top ranked schools in the state. Quest students are heavily involved in their extra curricular activities, hence the need for a condensed day: 8:30-1:30.

The EC teacher and staff provide instruction to identified students to ensure their academic success.
Collaborate with classroom teacher as well as other support staff with instruction to meet the students’ needs. 

Quest currently has a full-time EC teacher whose serves all grades (K-8). We are looking to add another full time EC teacher to split the caseload. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop/Implement IEP’s that directly reflect the needs of students’ based not only on data, but observations, instruction and classroom success.
• Ensure EC students records are maintained in accordance with all mandates.
• Be able to provide instruction across all settings as well as small group and 1:1, dependent on the students’ needs.
• Provide open communication with parents to address the successes as well as the needs of the student.

Applicant must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in special Education
• NC certification in Special Education K-8
• Experience working with students who have been identified as Learning Disabled, Autistic, ADHD, as well as other identifiable disabilities.
