Middle School Counselor

Join a school that values relationships, growth, and student well-being. Endeavor Charter School is hiring a compassionate and collaborative Middle School Guidance Counselor to support our students during a pivotal time in their development.

What You'll Do:

• Teach SEL content in small groups, large classes, and a rotating elective course
  
• Provide one-on-one and group counseling using developmentally appropriate strategies
  
• Support students’ emotional and behavioral needs as part of MTSS, 504, or Exceptional Children’s processes
  
• Coordinate special events through the School Culture Committee focused on mental health, inclusion, and student wellness
  
• Guide students and families through the high school transition process, including registration and informational sessions
  
• Develop and manage a robust developmental guidance program
  
• Serve as a resource for staff through ongoing professional development and collaboration
  
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with students, staff, and families
  
• Lead monthly family workshops in partnership with school administration
  
• Contribute to daily school life through occasional carpool duty
  
• Foster a supportive school culture rooted in respect and cultural responsiveness
  
• Model professional excellence in alignment with NCDPI and ASCA standards
  

What We're Looking For:

• Current NC licensure in school counseling or social work
  
• Experience working with middle school students in a counseling capacity
  
• Ability to engage confidently with individuals, groups, and large audiences
  
• Passion for building a counseling program that evolves with student needs
